Accessibility Compliance

(How We Meet the Requirements)

We have evaluated https://account.yamamay.com against the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (including, where applicable, its national implementing legislation), the ADA, WCAG 2.2 and Section 508. The service is:

Perceivable

  • Content is presented in an order that reflects its logical and semantic structure, allowing assistive technologies to interpret it correctly.
  • Instructions provided for understanding and operating content do not rely solely on sensory characteristics of components such as shape, colour, size, visual location, orientation or sound.
  • Content adapts correctly to changes in screen orientation while maintaining consistent presentation and functionality.
  • Where applicable, the purpose of input fields that accept specific data is correctly communicated to assistive technologies and implemented in a compliant manner.
  • Information is not conveyed through colour alone, or an accessible alternative such as text or symbols is provided.
  • Sufficient colour contrast is provided for text and key visual elements, with a minimum ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
  • Content is adaptable, allowing users to customise text size while maintaining a fully usable interface.
  • Information is presented using text, avoiding non-essential and non-customisable images of text.
  • Essential components, including their various states, provide colour contrast against adjacent elements that meets the minimum ratio of 3:1.
  • Changes to text spacing, including line height, paragraph spacing, letter spacing and word spacing, do not result in any loss of information or content.
  • Additional content triggered by hover or focus does not disappear unexpectedly, can be dismissed without moving the pointer or focus, and remains visible when required.

Operable

  • All functionality is available through a keyboard or keyboard-like assistive technology. This includes menus, links, forms, sliders and interactive controls.
  • No keyboard traps are present. Users can freely navigate into and out of all components.
  • There is no interference with keyboard shortcuts based on single letters, numbers or symbols.
  • No time limits are imposed by the content or, where time limits exist, they can be controlled by the user, adjusted, extended or are justified by functional or legal requirements.
  • All moving content, where present, includes controls for pausing and/or controlling playback.
  • Flashing or blinking content is not used at levels that could trigger epileptic seizures, remaining within recognised safety thresholds.
  • Skip links are implemented to enable quick navigation to the main content, improving accessibility and the user experience.
  • Pages within the service flow include titles that describe their subject or purpose.
  • On pages within the service flow that can be navigated sequentially, and where the navigation sequence affects meaning and operation, objects capable of receiving focus receive it in an order that preserves meaning and operability.
  • More than one method is available to identify content within the environment.
  • Headings and labels clarify content and functionality.
  • The keyboard focus indicator is visible on all interactive elements.
  • Elements that can receive keyboard focus are always at least partially visible within the viewport.
  • No functionality requires complex gestures in order to be used.
  • Functions are not triggered immediately upon touch, can be cancelled before completion and do not require prolonged pressing to operate.
  • For user interface components with labels that include text or images of text, the accessible name exposed to assistive technologies contains the text presented visually.
  • All functionality can be used without relying exclusively on device motion or user motion.
  • All functionality can be used without requiring drag-and-drop interactions.
  • The clickable area of interactive elements is sufficiently large to ensure easy and accurate interaction.

Understandable

  • The language of each page is appropriately defined and used consistently throughout the service.
  • User interface components do not trigger unexpected changes of context when they receive keyboard focus.
  • User interface components do not trigger unexpected changes of context when activated through keyboard interaction or assistive technologies.
  • Navigation mechanisms are positioned consistently throughout the entire service flow.
  • Repeated interface elements are defined consistently to facilitate identification.
  • Support and help request mechanisms are consistent within the environment.
  • When an input error is automatically detected, the element in error is identified and the error is described in text.
  • When an input error is identified and suggestions for correction are known, those suggestions are provided to the user, except in the cases provided for by law.
  • We write content in clear and simple language.

Robust

  • Standard development technologies that can be interpreted by assistive technologies are used.

We have tested https://account.yamamay.com with the most common assistive technologies across a wide variety of operating system and browser configurations:

  • Screen readers (such as NVDA and JAWS on Windows, and VoiceOver on Mac and iOS) to confirm that all interactive elements are correctly announced and can be used.
  • We also test screen magnification and high-contrast modes.

We aim for compatibility with current versions of the main assistive technologies. Our code follows the best practices outlined in WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549 for robust implementation, meaning that it should remain accessible as technology evolves.

Standards: based on the above, we apply the latest WCAG 2.2 Level AA and EN 301 549 criteria to ensure accessibility. Compliance with these standards creates a presumption of conformity with the requirements of the EAA, ADA and other legislation based on the same technical standards.

Continuous Monitoring and Maintenance

For us, accessibility is not a one-time commitment, but an ongoing process. Below is how we ensure that https://account.yamamay.com remains accessible over time:

  • Our Accessibility Coordinator, who oversees the accessibility of https://account.yamamay.com, can be contacted at accessibility@yamamay.com.
  • With the support of AccessiWay, on 11 June 2026 we carried out an external expert-led manual audit to verify our accessibility compliance. We maintain a cycle of continuous testing and improvements, with recurring support to ensure that comprehensive audits, including manual testing by professionals using assistive technologies, are conducted at least once a year.
  • We use automated testing tools integrated into our development process to promptly identify the most common accessibility issues, such as missing alternative text or form labels. Every code update passes through these checks.
